BMKG Medan Braces for Flooding, Landslides

Jakarta. The Medan branch of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, or BMKG, has warned communities in North Sumatra to be cautious of possible flooding and landslides.

“There are seven areas with the potential to flood: Medan, Serdang Bedagai, Deliserdang, shore areas of Langkat, Batubara district, Labuhanbatu and Central Tapanuli," Sunardi, head of BMKG Medan’s data and information services, said on Wednesday (05/10).
