Today, 7 January 2020, Forest Farmer Group in Kampung Batu Rajang, East Kalimantan, harvesting honey from the stingless bee that they grow after participated in a training conducted in October 2019. The training was done with the purpose of supporting the Social Forestry programme implementation in East Kalimantan. On the training, carried out by the Samarinda training Center (BDLHK Samarinda) and FORCLIME, participants were handed five boxes containing stingless bee colony (Trigona itama) as a stimulant for honey bee farming. Currently, they already have up to 10 boxes. Today, villagers harvested from one of the boxes, and get 0.5 L honey. The farmers are very happy and interested as they expect to gain additional income from the honey bee farming in the future.

The Samarinda Training Center for Environmental and Forestry (BDLHK Samarinda), supported by FORCLIME, conducted a consultation on management plan (RPHJP) of Loa Haur Training Forest for the period of 2020-2039 on 11 December 2019 in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The meeting aims to obtain inputs from stakeholders regarding the Loa Haur forest management plan. 50 people attended the meeting representing the technical implementing unit of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Tahura Bukit Soeharto, Samarinda Forestry Vocational High School, FORCLIME.
Loa Haur Training Forest, covers of 4,310 hectares, is located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The Loa Haur Forest, which is managed by the BDLHK Samarinda, is functioned as conservation forest. In addition, Loa Haur is part of the Tahura Bukit Soeharto. Therefore, the forest has roles to protect, conserve and manage its resources in a sustainable way.

The Agency of Planning, Research, and Development of Berau District, supported by FORCLIME, conducted Pre-Musrenbang (development planning meeting) meeting on 2nd of May 2019 to gain advices from the stakeholders for the draft of Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) document of Berau district. The result of this activity is the final revised draft of RPJPD in Berau District 2006-2026 in accordance with the Regulation of Minister Home Affairs No. 54 Year 2010. The objective of this revision is to adjust the vision, mission, targets, and policy direction in regional level with the ones in national level; to operationalize the regional vision and mission; as well as to achieve the regional development plan which complies and is integrated to the national development plan.
In the near future, the revised draft of the long term development plan will be discussed in Musrenbang and brought to the Regional House of Representatives of Berau district for further process of adopting the draft into Regional Regulation (Perda).
