2021 12 21 Discussion with BBKSDA for Program Priority ro

In 2021, FORCLIME and the Center for Conservation and Natural Resources (BBKSDA) Papua worked together in order to identify and select a number of jointly supported villages. As a result, the synergising of the 2022 work plan is now necessary. On 21 December 2021, FORCLIME held a coordination meeting with BBKSDA Papua in order to identify the various activities that will be conducted on a joint basis during 2022. The meeting was held in the BBKSDA Papua office and was opened by the Head of the Subdivision for Programs and Cooperation for BBKSDA Papua, Rian Agustina, S.Pt., M.I.L.

During the discussion, BBKSDA Papua explained that the approaches that would be taken in the two villages would differ due to the different characteristics and potentials of said villages. The activities that will be developed in the village of Tablasupa relate to environmental services, while in the village of Doyo Baru, the developed activities will relate to sustainable agriculture. During the meeting, BBKSDA Papua also expressed the importance of implementing the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process whenever commencing fostering activities.
