2021 12 08 Persiapan Integrasi Web MRV REDD kalbar dengan Web MRV Nasional jum 4

In 2021, the West Kalimantan REDD+ Working Group managed to improve the quality of its monitoring and reporting system on emissions reduction-related activities in West Kalimantan through the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) website, which is also used to publish the working results of the Pokja. These reporting results will later be submitted to the National Registry System (SRN) owned and operated by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF). In order to streamline the reporting flow, the West Kalimantan REDD+ Working Group is planning to integrate the West Kalimantan MRV website into the SRN in the near future.

With the support of FORCLIME, a preparatory website integration meeting was held on 8 December 2021 at the Secretariat of the West Kalimantan REDD+ Working Group. The meeting was opened by the Head of the Environmental Management and Monitoring Division of the West Kalimantan Environment and Forestry Service, Ms. Yenny S.Hut, MT, who is also a member of the REDD+ Working Group for West Kalimantan Province.

This meeting resulted in the improvement of several menus on the website, including the granting of access to stakeholders in West Kalimantan so that they will be able to fill out self-reports that address mitigation and adaptation activity.

A follow-up discussion will be held with the Directorate of Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification, the Directorate-General for Climate Change Control, MoEF in order to develop a strategy for integrating provincial MRV websites into the national website.
