2020 06 23 webinar conflict resolution

With an aim to share experiences in the areas of conflict management, land tenure negotiation and private public partnerships; four bilateral programmes of the German and Indonesian governments conducted a webinar on 23 June 2020 using the MS Teams application.
The four programmes are: Forests and Climate Change Programme (FORCLIME), Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains (SASCI), Sustainable and Climate-Friendly Palm Oil Production and Procurement (SCPOPP) and Low Emissions Oil Palm Development (LEOPALD).
The participants of the webinar were local partners of the four Programmes mentioned in East and West Kalimantan provinces, which represent government agencies, NGOs and private companies at the provincial and district levels.

This sharing session will be conducted in series. The first webinar presented shared experiences from the conflict management integrated team (Tim Terpadu Penanganan Gangguan Usaha dan Konflik Perkebunan) from Berau district (East Kalimantan) and the Kapuas Hulu district resolution conflict desk (Desk Resolusi Konflik) from West Kalimantan. In addition, they also presented the progress of “toolkit” development for facilitating partnerships and conflict management in the plantation sector.
