Forclime dukung penyebaran informasi pembangunan KPH

Ministry of Environment and Forestry held a national coordination meeting for KPH on 24-25 July in Yogyakarta with theme of “Synergizing the Central and Regional Policy to Promote KPH Development’. Alongside with the Head of KPHs, the participants of this meeting are Head of Forestry Service, Head of Provincial Planning Agency, Ministry officials, KPH-supporting international institutions (GIZ, World Bank). During the opening of the meeting, the representatives of Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucracy Reform addressed keynote speech and an opening remarks by Minister of Environment and Forestry was delivered by the Secretary General of Ministry of Environment and Forestry. He addressed that the national coordination meeting is considered urgent and relevant in formulating the policy to accelerate the development and operationalization of KPH.

Photography and booth exhibition also took part in the National Coordination Meeting, and FORCLIME supported Directorate of Plan, Use, and Establishment of Forest Management Area to showcase the data and information management of KPH through Sistem Informasi dan Dokumentasi (Sinpasdok). In addition, FORCLIME exhibited the activities carried out in KPH Kubu Raya related to the integrated fire management in KPH – aside from the activities conducted in the 3 site projects in Malinau (North Kalimantan), Berau (East Kalimantan), and Kapuas Hulu (West Kalimantan).

In this occasion, Ministry of Environment and Forestry awarded the Provincial governments that have been showing their active support for KPH development, namely: Yogyakarta, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Sulawesi Selatan, Lampung, Kalimantan Barat, Sulawesi Tengah; and KPHs for their great development, namely: KPH Yogyakarta, KPH Lakitan Bukit Cogong (Sumatera Selatan), KPH Batu Lampeh (Nusa Tenggara Barat), KPH Kayu Tangi (Kalimantan Selatan). Special awards were also given to the female Head of KPHs dubbed as the Heroine of KPH Development, namely: Kepala KPH Kerinci (Jambi), Kepala KPH Wilayah XII Benakat (Sumatera Selatan), Kepala KPH Wilayah VI Gorontalo, Kepala KPH Unit II Sorong (Papua Barat).
