The Forest Management Unit (FMU) Kubu Raya in West Kalimantan shares experiences and its lessons learned in preventing forest and land fires, which are outlined in its standard operating procedure (SOP), on 28-29 November in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The activity, supported by GIZ, was attended by 55 participants representing the West Kalimantan Provincial Forestry Service, Heads of 17 FMUs in West Kalimantan, Provincial technical units on Grand Forest Park and Wetlands and the technical unit of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in West Kalimantan. The event was opened by the Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Forestry Service and was attended by the Director of Forest and Land Fire Prevention of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
