GTZ MRPP is part of Dishut Sumsel team (10 people) in the expo. GTZ MRPP beleived achieving its goal in the expo that is socialisation of Merang REDD Pillot Project in South Sumatera.

Visitor number estimated more than 6,000 but less than 10,000. Most of the visitors visiting Sumsel booth, which is one of the biggest and came number 2 in the overall presentation, asked about MRPP REDD project, HTI, Pulp and Paper factory, honey production from Lahat cooperative, sembilang National Park.

MRPP representative attanded majority of the visitors on the Sumsel booth. One of special guest was the Minister of Forestry. He was attended by MRPP representative at the time inspecting  the Sumsel booth (see picture).

It was a good exposure for GTZ MRPP. There were only MRPP, Aceh and Harapan rainforest representing REDD/carbon program at the expo.

Some of the visitors had a lenghty discussion on REDD and carbon market issues. There is one National company interested to speak further with MRPP and one might bring Chinese businessmen from China interested in setting REDD/carbon project in South Sumatera.
