2019 05 8 RPJHP KPH Berau Tengah Supri

As part of processes of evaluation and ratification forest management plan, the Forest Management Unit (KPH) Berau Tengah presented its long-term forest management plan (RPHPJP) in the presence of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry's Verification and Validation Team on May 8, 2019 at the Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jakarta. The team consists of directors related to KPH development. Following the meeting minutes, all available documents still needs adjustment and improvement. Within 15 (fifteen) working days, the improved document should be submitted to the Director for the Production Forest Management Unit (KPHP) for approval process.

The KPH Berau Tengah in East Kalimantan province covers the area of ± 336,987 hectares, which is dominated by production forest. One of the KPH Berau Tengah potentials is the karstic mountain which stretches from the north to the south with its mountain peaks and karst caves which become tourist destinations, i.e. the Ketepu Peak, Nyadeng Lake, Beloyot Cave.
