With the purpose of accelerating the implementation of gender mainstreaming in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF), the Gender Mainstreaming Working Group (Pokja PUG) collaborates with the Environmental and Forestry Education and Training Center (BD LHK) Makassar and GIZ.  A training on Gender Mainstreaming for lecturers (Widyawaiswara) on October 18-19 in Makassar, South Sulawesi was organized. Objective of the event was to increase the lecturers’ knowledge related to gender mainstreaming, therefore, they can integrate gender-sensitive approaches into the Training Management Cycle. 29 lecturers attended the training, representing the Bogor Environmental and Forestry Human Resources Training Center and BD LHK regions (Bogor, Kupang, Makassar, Samarinda).

During the training the participants conducted group discussions to prepare a curriculum for eLearning on gender mainstreaming, identifying strategies for integrating gender into the training management cycle and identifying indicators of gender responsive training institutions. The results will be followed up and improved through a meeting with the Human Resources Planning and Development Agency (BP2SDM) and the MoEF Training Center in November.
