2019 05 15 RPHJP KPH Nunukan Kaltara

The Nunukan Forest Management Unit (KPH Nunukan) launched its 2019 management plan on 15 May 2019 in Nunukan city, North Kalimantan. The launching was attended by the Head of sub-districts (Camat), the Head of Villages (Kepala Desa-Kades), forest concessionaires, and local community representatives.

The annual management plan refers to the long-term management plan (RPHJP) that was approved and signed by the Minister for Environment and Forestry. The KPH Nunukan disseminates its operation plan to relevant stakeholders with the purpose of explaining the role of KPHs and their activities to improve coordination.

On his opening speech, the Head of KPH Nunukan, Bastiang, announced that annual management plans are an opportunity to reach independent KPHs. Moreover, it is also an opportunity to create partnerships with relevant partners.

The process of preparation and completion of forest management plan of the KPH Nunukan was supported by FORCLIME, which has been assisting the KPH development since 2017.
