The GIZ Forests and Climate Change Programme (FORCLIME) together with the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry is supporting the International Year of Forests through an online photo contest. The contest is to help raise public awareness about the importance of Indonesia's forests in the context of the global debate on climate change.

The online photo contest will be run from 1 August to 31 October 2011. Photographers are encouraged to enter their visual perception of the forests of Indonesia in the categories ‘People and Forests and ‘A day in the Forest‘.
